=> Meda Meeda Abbayi review
Allari Naresh has been desperately waiting for a success. When spoof comedies didn’t work, he now came up with a Malayalam hit remake with the same director who made the original. Will this be a game changer in his career?
What is it about?
Srinu (Allari Naresh) is first shown as a fit for nothing guy who failed B.tech. Srinu aims to become a film director and starts to Hyderabad all of sudden. There he accidentally meets Sindhu (Nikhila). With an intention to which an intention to showcase Sindhu as his girlfriend Srinu takes a selfie with her when she was not noticing him. Unexpectedly, this selfie moment changes the movements in Srinu’s life. He lands into a deep trouble with one single selfie. Rest of the story is all about how he handles all the troubles.
=> Meda Meeda Abbayi review Artists & Performances
A big relief, Allari Naresh didn’t imitate any Telugu star hero in this film. Thank God, there are no spoof episodes. However, there is nothing new to talk about Allari Naresh. He is typical and good. Nikhila made severe attempts to deliver several expressions. Nothing worked, to be honest. Hyper Aadi carries the same Zabardast tone and punches into the film which works at parts. Srinivas Avasarala has been misused.
=> Meda Meeda Abbayi review Technical Talk
Well, what should we talk about technical things in a film of this size? You can neither remember a song, nor a frame. The cinematography is very much amateurish. Production values remind us the standards of low budget short film. Music is terrible. Editing is poor and slumpy. Meda Meeda Abbayi is just that film where nothing good came from the technical team, including the director.
=> Meda Meeda Abbayi review Analysis
Meda Meeda Abbayi is an official remake of a 2015 Malayalam hit film Oru Vadakkan selfie which starred Nivin Pauly in the lead role. At first, the plot is illogical and we wonder why and how Malayalam audience who carry so much of reputation have accepted the script. May be it’s pure because of the decent treatment is given to the script. But here with the remake, the treatment or taking lacks everything good quite surprisingly as it was handled by the same director Prajith, who made the original. Although the original isn’t great, after watching the remake, you would start respecting the original as it was entertaining enough to sit through. Meda Meeda Abbayi lacks entertainment, which is the nucleus of Allari Naresh films. There were too many forced episodes and illogical scenes placed to irritate you. At the end, would not be a good buy at the ticket window.
