More than 50 engineering colleges from Telangana will shut down

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in their official notification said that 800 engineering colleges in India will be closed following low admissions in the course of recent years.The AICTE has requested these colleges to present a report by the second week of September.Although the official list of a total number of colleges from Telangana is not yet disclosed, According to ANI resources the list will be more than 50 engineering colleges from Telangana state out of 800 engineering colleges. Educate children about perilous Blue whale game or Blue whale challenge

In 2015,  17 engineering colleges from Telangana approached T.S Government to voluntarily shut down colleges due to low admission rate and increasing maintenance cost. Criminal cases were booked on managements of 17 colleges by T.S government for furnishing false information to the Government and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University about facilities on the campuses. T.S government is monitoring engineering colleges in Telangana state from last 3 years to improve the quality of Technical education. Now with AICTE decision to shut down more than 50 colleges from Telangana will definitely send alerts to remaining colleges to improve the performance rate. Facebook

According to notice, AICTE said universities with under 30% admissions over the most recent five years have been made a request to shut down. “We have additionally given them an alternative of getting merged with close-by colleges,” said AICTE director Dr Anil Sahasrabudhe. “The choice to shut down colleges was taken in the wake of contemplating points of interest of admission at all schools the nation over the most recent five years,” he included.
122 private engineering colleges had opted for a closure and approximately 150 colleges are voluntarily closed down every year.800 engineering colleges list will be released in the month of December.

According to ANI news resource, these 21 colleges will be closed out of 800 engineering colleges before 2018 academic year.
