Despite losing world cup final ,Indian women’s team won billions of Fans

India played their second world cup final against England today at Lords London. Although, Women’s team lost final to England by 9 runs, but won Billions of Fans at home and abroad and ensured future for Women’s cricket in a country like India. Poonam Raut and  Harmanpreet Kaur each scored half centuries in World cup final and Pacer Jhulan Goswami took 3 wickets for 23 runs in her spell.Poonam Raut scored 86 runs in 115balls with 4 boundaries and 1 six, Harmanpreet Kaur scored 51 runs in 80 balls with 3 boundaries and 2 sixes, Veda Krishnamurthy scored 35 runs in 34balls with 5 boundaries.Mithali Raj is the captain of the Indian team.

Pacer Jhulan Goswami claimed 3 for 23, while Poonam Yadav took 2 for 36 as India restricted England to 228 for 7 in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2017 final at Lord’s on Sunday. India has reached the Women’s World Cup final after winning six of their 8 matches.The two losses coming against South Africa and Australia in the league stage.India won the world cup semi final by defeating mighty Australia by 36 runs. Harmanpreet hit a blistering 171 not out in 115 balls coupled with Krishnamurthy’s 16 in 10 balls to steer India to a massive total of 281 in just 42 overs. This is only the second time that India has entered the final of an ICC World Cup in 11 attempts. India has already beaten their final opponents once in the tournament during league stage.The last time India were in the final was in 2005 Women’s World Cup where they were up against Australia and were decimated by 98 runs.
