This week NGO : Make a Difference (MAD)

Make a Difference (MAD)

We are being funded and guided by our parents, what about the kids who dont have parents? Who is going to fund them, care them, guide them? Exactlythis question started to make a difference. Right back in 2006, Jithin C Nedumala, a co-founder along with his three friends started MAD in Cochin. It now reached out to over 4,250 children in 81 shelters across 23 cities in India, through a highly efficient 4,300 strong volunteer network.

When Michelle Obama visited MAD’s Shelter home on her India tour, She spoke her views on MAD as below & quot;Make a Difference is an amazing program designed and run by young adults who recruit other young people, outstanding college students like themselves, to mentor and teach children who havent had the same chances in life as many of the mentors have had.

MAD’s mission is to ensure that the kids in shelter homes live a life which is free from different exploitation.

There are two verticals where Volunteers teach and take care of the after school support for the kids. One vertical known as Ed-support creates a path towards the goal and the other vertical, Propel takes care and guides the kid to reach the destination of his life.
