The Golden circles of Idea pitching

In the recent days the startup ecosystem is the most happening thing in India right now. There are many youngsters having brilliant ideas and projects on which they want to work. But there is a serious backdrop in  succeeding as there is inefficiency in communicating their ideas properly. So I have come up with a strategy on how to pitch their ideas which would make remarkable impact on the receiver end. And that is “the Golden circles concept”. WHY – HOW- WHAT.

startups-450x270 There are few things that an individual should keep in mind and prepare his sales pitch . Firstly they should know why they want to sell that idea . As in why, had they considered only this particular idea when they were being bombarded with so many ideas every moment? What is the value of that  idea or products is going to add to the system ? What kind of problems is that product going to solve ? Why should people believe in your ideas or product ? An individual needs to address these questions in order to catch the attention to the folks .for example if some x person starts a company that produces wireless computer mouse . So their pitch should go like this- there is a serious problem faced by the Zen X nowadays with the cabled devices . The productivity rate is decreasing by 15% which has significant effect on the annual turnover . So I want to fix up this problem by introducing a new device to increase the productivity and work output with utmost efficiency. If this is how the pitch starts I’m sure people would be ready to listen to your next stuff .

                                             And now the next context is HOW . After telling why you want to do , it is then the responsibility to validate those statements . And this done by telling how  you do it . What are those featuring your product or idea has ? How are you fixing up the bugs ? How are you executing your plan of action ? How are your converting your ideas into reality ? If these questions are answered the chances of the receiver end getting impressed with your ideas are very high .Considering the previous example once again , the pitch should continue like this- . So we are building a wireless computer mouse that uses the latest infrared simulation technology that enables the efficient wireless working within the radius of 5 ms from the computer or laptop . At this stage you are already running in peoples mind . And the last context is WHAT . And now tell what is your product ? What are you building ? Now reveal the brand ? Now reveal the identity of the product . So this step completes the process of idea pitching which yields fruitful results . For example- now I’ll say it’s x mouse from ABC company at your desktop solving your problems of cables . This concept can also be applied  for direct marketing , sales and anywhere necessary where you want to convince others to believe in your idea . If this is how a pitch goes on there would be revolutionary ideas starts getting into products that might change the plight of the nation .
