Classes start at 9:15 and go till 1:00 in the afternoon. Then there is 1 hr lunch break till 2:00. Most of the time students eat fast so that they can get some nap. Then the most difficult part comes, which is the second half of most of the time these timings are for practical labs and one will be sitting in an AC labs. Indian engineering students clock up an average of three hours in the toilet every week – but spend just 90 minutes being active. More than a quarter (26 percent) of students exercise for 30 minutes or less each week and almost two-thirds (64%) just sit down or use mobile phone for at least six hours a day. Only 12 percent of students know how much exercise is needed for good health and 10% of students start their day smoking a cigarette. Students should at least 150 minutes a week of moderate-intensity exercises, such as cycling, swimming or brisk walking to stay fit. Most of them spend more than 30 minutes in washroom using their mobile phones. The survey also revealed that after fall of mobile data rates, this increased more. On an average, each student will spend 2 months in the washroom in his or her four years of engineering life. This is found more in boys than in girls.
