Lakshmi is a newly married welder who causes a stir in his East Indian village when he tries to revolutionize the manufacturing of sanitary napkins for women.

Director R.Balki has made sure to maintain the same pace in screenplay throughout the entire film. Akshay Kumar’s performance is likable and heartfelt. Radhika Apte portrays her part beautifully, making her character relatable to the section of women, who still face such societal issues. Sonam Kapoor’s performance is neat and crisp. The songs come in sync with the story and are ear-pleasing. Amit Trivedi has done an outstanding job as the music composer. The only part which makes the film a bit off track is the romantic portion between Akshay Kumar and Sonam Kapoor.  Out and out, Padman is an inspiring film to watch and is totally worth the wait. There is so much in Padman that is enjoyable and meaningful. Muruganantham’s bio is so incredible that if you did not know his is a true story you might have refused to believe it
