Young Tiger NTR’s Jai Lava Kusa being one of the biggest releases this year has finally hit the screens amidst huge hype. Director K.S Ravindra (Bobby) once again centralized his focus on the protagonist’s character elevation and has left out many gaps in the story line. The first half runs with a slow tempo until the pre-interval sequence. NTR’s appearance as Jai is a treat for his cult fans. Post-interval, the story is driven quite engagingly. As the film moves swiftly, the director suddenly slips off the track. It goes downhill from there. Moreover, other than Jai’s character, the other two roles don’t create any interest. Devi Sri Prasad (DSP) has given some decent songs. The much-hyped Raavana song doesn’t make any impact on the screen. Cameraman Chota K Naidu’s cinematography is not up to the mark. Nivetha Thomas Raashi Khanna are good but have very little to do in a film where three NTRs vie for attention. The humor in the film is quite lame and has failed to make the audience laugh.  Also the emotional quotient in the film towards the end is not handled well. ’Jai Lava Kusa’ on the whole has nothing much to offer other than NTR’s terrific performance as Jai. Many scenes do not make any sense and the film can be strictly termed as a one-time watch.
