CIRCUIT : Ashok Leyland a firm of the Hinduja group a multi-dollar company, is once again going to roar on roads with the zero emission, non-polluting, full-fledged electric bus.Being the second largest manufacturer of commercial vehicles in India is always a foot front in launching innovative automobiles and marked has the “Host of innovations “.
In,1997 the company launched the India’s first CNG bus and the history repeated once again with the launch of India’s first E-BUS “CIRCUIT”. Leyland already produced the low emission vehicles buses and it is the first of it’s kind to produce the bus which is going to be run completely on the electric charge which is nonpolluting and nonsounding too.
The “CIRCUIT” is the bus which travels 120 km with the one-time charge, powered by lithium-ion batteries has a top speed of 75 km/h.The bus has been engineered and designed in India exclusively concerned with the Indian roads.The MD of Leyland groups Mr. Vinod k.Dasari said that the bus is going to be in different versions and the price varies as per battery capacities ranging from Rs 1.5 to 3 Crore.With the 20% penetration of National Electric Mobility Plan for electric/,hybrid vehicles by 202areinvested 22 crore, this fiscal year and manufacturing are being done with orders.
Taking the oath of “Make in India” the bus is going to be manufactured in Indian manufacturing units of Leyland.While 60% of total cost of the bus goes for the battery the three hour charge can make the battery full and 1 km travel can conserve only one unit of current.The bus has a seating capacity ranging from 35-65 and most excitingly USB phone charging points and WI-FI hotspot is also added.
The bus deserve the commercial importance especially in the I.T companies,school/college transports and state transport cooperation as well.Let us see this CIRCUIT on our Hyderabad roads in the days to come
