Hyderabad to host a global event of WCIT 2018 and NASSCOM

Hyderabad: World Congress IT (WCIT) co-hosting with Telangana Government to set WCIT-2018 a  global event again in Hyderabad from February 19 to 21 said Minister KTR in a discussion with Ms. Yvonne Chiu, Chairman, WITSA (World IT and Services Alliance), Nasscom President Rentala Shekhar and Nasscom India Leadership Forum (NILF) Rationalisation scheme to be imposed on degree colleges

Global event moto: Thinkers, government leaders and social leaders will be brought together to share their view on the change taking place in the sector and in turn help us understand, prepare and adapt for the upcoming challenges.

“The hosting of World Congress IT presents a unique opportunity for India and delighted that Hyderabad has been chosen as the host city. This comes close on the heels of the very successful GES and will put Hyderabad on the world map once again,” said IT Minister KTR. Follow us on facebook

Worldly people attending the event: The event is expected to have 2,500 delegates from 30 countries and event will mention major areas of technology that are reshaping the world today that include artificial intelligence, block-chain and will have 22 sessions on different topics. Also, the event will also host 24 sessions on policy dialogues, analyst corners, CIO sessions and boardroom CEO session aside. It is being hosted in partnership with Nasscom, World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA) and government of Telangana.

NASSCOM says: “WCIT will be a comprehensive package that will leave no technology untouched as it is the Olympics of IT. Apart from the sessions, the congress will also create focus mini forums on AI, open innovation, new tech forums and design forums. We have also shortlisted 60 innovative companies from India to display their technology to the visiting delegates. They can also have a touch and feel of the emerging technologies in the IT space,” said R Chandrashekhar, president, Nasscom.

Telangana IT principal secretary Jayesh Ranjan informed that the government will be investing Rs 8crores for the event. And this is amounted to Nasscom to host and organize the event. Interesting thing about the event is that there will be speakers from organizations like Isha Foundation head Sadhguru and Hyderabad-born Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen, also world’s first social robot Sophia will be speaking at the event.
