“The author of the Constitution is not any individual nor a group of individuals not merely the constituent Assembly members but the people of India who have solemnly affirmed India into a sovereign democratic republic and to give it to themselves equality, liberty, and justice.”This is what our honourable president said when addressing the 24th Annual Convocation of National Law School of India University (NLSIU). The president asked all the students, to study the constitution well and the embrace it, by volunteering the change they wished to happen. Forming the Constitution for a billion people is not an easy task, it involves various absconding and consideration of circumstances. For a citizen of any country, pointing out the way the constitution is formed is preferred. But for the law students, it is an exception as they are the law one day.
Hence, the president asked them to get to know the choices, that were made to make India with all the regulations what is it today. India holding one of the finest constitutions by having a nice public-private relationship with an embankment of justice, equality, and liberty. India showing a liberation from all the chained inequalities, gender, caste and community they stick for too long. When forming the constitution it wasn’t few selected or elected, it was the whole who just freed from the barbaric rule. But now even the people are experimenting their rights to make the government go well by choosing the appropriate rule. The president was proud to note that most of the 45medals presented to the meritorious students most of them were girls. President Pranab Mukherjee even asked the young minds to analyse the democratic views and not to get carried away and to be well versed with the detailing.
